Faithful partner of Les Arts Florissants, her attachment to baroque music marks the beginning of soprano Emmanuelle de Negri's season who will be alongside Les Ombres and Le Banquet Céleste ensembles.
With the first one, she will be in Ambronay in the lyric tragedy Sémiramis by André Cardinal Destouches, played for the first time in 300 years. Emmanuelle de Negri will perform the role of Amestris, niece and only heiress of Semiramis, Queen of Babylon who wants to remove her from the throne and chooses Arsane, whom she is in love with. Loving Amestris, he will do everything to deliver her but his efforts will lead, despite himself, to the death of Semiramis, his own mother but none of them knew of the mother-son bond that united them.
In Bruges, she is Maddalena in Maddalena a piedi di Cristo by Antonio Caldara with Damien Guillon's ensemble, Le Banquet Céleste. It is rare to find a work that combines music and theater as captivatingly as in this oratorio where Heavenly Love and Earthly Love compete for the soul of the sinner Maddalena, with her sister Martha and the Christ as allies.
