The coming weeks will be musically dense for tenor Emiliano Gonzalez Toro; this will give us many opportunities to hear one of the most sought-after tenors of his generation, especially in the Baroque repertoire.
This musical fireworks will begin with a performance of Boismortier's Don Quichotte chez la Duchesse, this time at the Opéra de Massy, on December 2, still alongside the Concert Spirituel, directed by Hervé Niquet.
Monteverdi's Vespro della Beata Vergine will follow in Geneva, performed with Gli Angelli and french tenor Jean-François Novelli on december 7, then a tour with Bach's Magnificat and Haendel's Dixit Dominus alongside the Concert d'Astrée led by Emmanuelle d'Haïm, Lully's Alceste (which CD recording releases this december 1, on the label Aparté) and a "Noël Royal" program with Christophe Rousset's Talens lyriques.
To perfect the entire, as a very nice gift before the end of the year, we can attend an event to mark a milestone: the first official concert of his ensemble I Gemelli, specialized in the vocal music of the 17th century ; concert given with soprano Emöke Baráth which will be given on this occasion with the program "Rosa Mystica", at the église Bienheureuse Isabelle de Neuilly-sur-Seine.
