After 2 editions with a loyal team including soprano Emmanuelle de Negri and mezzo-soprano Anna Reinhold, Les Arts Florissants are back for the 3rd part of "Airs Sérieux et à Boire".
Since 2015, they have been revisiting French courtly arias and drinking songs with works by Michel Lambert and his contemporaries. We will be able to discover this new edition in Paris, Martigny (Switzerland) or London.
After a season marked by her debut at the Opéra de Paris as Nella (Gianni Schicchi) and by the tour of Rinaldo with La CoOpérative, Emmanuelle de Negri began this 2018/2019 season as Amestris (Semiramis by Destouches) with the ensemble Les Ombres at the Ambronay Festival, and sang in Maddalena ai piedi di Cristo by Caldara at the Concertgebouw in Bruges with Le Banquet Céleste, on the occasion of the release of the eponymous album. She then made her debut at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples under the direction of Maestro Riccardo Muti, as Despina (Cosi fan Tutte). She will also be Sémire, Nymphe, Amour and Polymnie (Les Boréades by Rameau) at the Opéra de Dijon under the baton of Emmanuelle Haïm.
Anna Reinhold's projects for this season include: Le Songe d'une Nuit d'été (Mendelssohn) at the Seine Musicale with Accentus and Insula Orchestra (conducted by Laurence Equilbey), La Senna Festeggiante by Vivaldi with the Arcangelo ensemble at Wigmore Hall in London conducted by Jonathan Cohen, the cantata Phaedra (Britten) with the Orchestre régional de Normandie, the "Danza" programme with Le Poème Harmonique in Rouen and Eu and concerts with the Il Caravaggio ensemble.
In the coming weeks, she will be the Second camerist in Der Zwerg (Zemlinsky) at the Théâtre de Caen - a tragic tale of a dwarf with a magnificent soul falling in love with the cruel Infanta (to whom he was given as a gift) - then in Bach's St Matthew Passion with the Balearic Islands Simphony Orchestra in Majorca, conducted by Jonathan Cohen.
