The Opéra du Rhin has the wonderful idea to propose this production, staged by Robert Carsen, of The Cunning Little Vixen (by Leos Janacek). Described as a comic opera, interpretations of the work remain varied, ranging from children's entertainment to a tragedy.
Alongside the vixen, several characters and animals cohabit, such as Lapak the dog, here performed by mezzo Aline Martin. She is back in Opéra du Rhin after her remarkable interpretation of Sélyzette in Ariane et Barbe Bleue (Dukas) past season.
