Baritone Francesco Salvadori joins our artists !

Italian baritone, living in France and perfectly bilingual, Francesco Salvadori has just sung once again at the Teatro alla Fenice in Venice, as well as at the Opera di Roma.

Born in Siena on 1985, he obtained an honor degree from Florence Music Conservatory. He followed courses of Centro De Perfeccionamiento Placido Domingo in Valencia and Academy of Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto, where he won the European Singing Contest in 2013. He attended masterclasses with Eva Marton, Lella Cuberli, Rockwell Blake, Renato Bruson and Claudio Desideri.

In 2013, he sang Guglielmo in Cosi Fan Tutte at the Auditorio de Tenerife, and made his debut in baroque repertoire singing Niceno in L’Incoronazione di Dario by Vivaldi at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, staged by Davide Livermore and conducted by Francesco Maria Sardelli. After that, Valencia invited him to take part in Manon Lescaut under the baton of Placido Domingo. The production has been also recorded by DECCA.

In 2014, Francesco Salvadori was Belcore in L’Elisir d’amore in a staging by Leo Nucci at the Piacenza Opera, conducted by Stefano Ranzani. The same year, he sang Baron Totaro in I Due Baroni by Cimarosa at the Opéra de Chambre de Genève.

The role of Guglielmo brought him to sing for the first time at the Teatro Del Maggio Fiorentino in 2015, under the baton of Roland Boër. The same year, he took part as Shaunard in La Bohème at the Verbier Festival.

In 2016, he sang the role of Ben in The Telephone by Menotti at the Gulbenkian Fondation in Lisboa, then he sang Dottor Malatesta in Don Pasquale at the Opéra de Bienne staged by Pierre-Emmanuel Rousseau.

In 2017, he did his debut at the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, first as Shaunard in La Bohème, staged by Francesco Micheli and conducted by Stefano Ranzani, and then as Morales in the famous staging of Carmen by Calixto Bieito, under the baton of Myung- Whun Chung. After Carmen, he was the Journalist in Lulu by Berg at the Rome Opera, in a staging by William Kentridge.

More recently, Francesco salvadori sang in some concerts of baroque music at the Festival d'Aix En Provence, with the ensemble Cappella Mediterranea conducted by Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, and then sang the Soldier and the Herald in Jerusalem by Verdi at the Teatro Regio di Parma, under the baton of Daniele Callegari and in a staging by Hugo De Ana, as opening show of the Festival Verdi 2017.

Next he will go back at the Gran Teatro La Fenice to sing the role of Shaunard in La Bohème, and then again at the Rome Opera to sing in Billy Budd by Britten, role of Bosun, conductor James Conlon.
