baritone Levent Bakirci sings Il Prigionero

at Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino

The demanding role of Il Prigionero has already marked the career of baritone  Levent Bakirci, since he obtained with it a first unanimous French success in 2015, at the Théâtre du Capitole Toulouse.

This time, he sings the title role of Luigi Dallapiccola's work at the Festival del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, under the baton of Michael Boder, and the direction of Virgilio Sieni.

After a year highlighted by his debut at the Teatro Municipal Santiago de Chile in the title role of Don Giovanni, it's a great new opportunity to discover the vocal and stage talent of the one who until this spring was a member of the Staatstheater Nürnberg Ensemble, theater in which he played the roles of Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Zurga (Les Pêcheurs de Perles), the title role of Don Giovanni, Marcello (La Bohème), Il conte Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Escamillo (Carmen), Dr. Falke in (Die Fledermaus), Taddeo (L'Italiana in Algeri), Donner (Das Rheingold), as well as Andrey Shchelkalov (Boris Godunov).
