This summer, the Glyndebourne Festival (UK), founded in 1934, offers the production Béatrice et Bénédict, Berlioz' opera. With Stéphanie d'Oustrac as Béatrice and Paul Appleby as Bénédict, Frédéric Caton will perform Don Pedro ; a role in which he excelled this season at the Theatre de la Monnaie. The staging will be ensured by Laurent Pelly and Antonello Manacorda conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Next season, Frederic Caton will be back at the Opera de Dijon with Les Traversées Baroques in Monteverdi's Orfeo. He will perform Arkel in Pelleas et Mélisande (Debussy) in november at the Opéra de Limoges. Then, in december, he will interpret the bass solo part in La Création by Haydn with the Orchestre Régional d'Avignon Provence. In April, another Berlioz' work, Les Troyens, accompanied by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, concerts that will be recorded. Finally, he will interpret the role of Osmin in L'enlèvement au Sérail (Mozart) in may at the Philharmonie de Paris.
