Mezzo Soprano Catherine Trottmann sings from october 20 the role of Cherubino in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, at the Opéra national du Rhin.
After her nomination as «Lyrical revelation» of the Victoires de la Musique 2017, it is an exceptional 2017/2018 season that awaits young mezzo-soprano ; she performs several of the most emblematic roles in the repertoire.
She makes her debut in fantastic roles such as Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro) at the Opéra national du Rhin, Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Stéphano (Roméo et Juliette) at the Opéra de Nice and Siebel (Faust) at the Opéra de Saint-Etienne.
Many concerts are added to this rich season, including her debut at the Berliner Philharmonie with the Berliner Symphoniker, Debussy's La Demoiselle Elue with the Orchestre national d'Ile de France at the Philharmonie de Paris, Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Le Cercle de l'Harmonie led by Jérémie Rhorer in Dortmund, and a recital at the Festival de Pâques d'Aix-en-Provence.
Recent successes include her Flora (La Traviata) and Tisbé (La Cenerentola ) at the prestigious Wiener Staatsoper, Tisbé and Zerlina (Don Giovanni) at the Opéra de Lausanne, then Zerlina at the Festival de Beaune and the Bremen Festspiele with Le Cercle de l'Harmonie, title role in Sauguet's Tistou les Pouces verts at the Opéra de Rouen, as well as Dersagrena in Niels Wilhelm Gade 's Comala with the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Rouen and Accentus, under the baton of Laurence Equilbey.
