Catone in Utica

in Amsterdam and Bâle

Vivaldi tells us the story of Catone (here played by Emiliano Gonzalez Toro. Catone is one of the last republican senators to resist Caesar. He takes refuge in prince Arbace's home with her daughter Marzia and with Emilia, Pompeo's widow (killed by Caesar). Marzia falls in love with the Empire master, her father's worst enemy : Caesar. Fulvio is lost between his loyalty to Caesar and his love for Emilia.

The intrigue will be divided between political adventure and love stories.
