To celebrate the New Year, Les Voix Nouvelles will stop over on 31 December 2018 at the Opéra de Reims with a festive programme accompanied by the Reims Orchestra under the direction of Yann Molénat.
Among the winners were soprano Hélène Carpentier et tenor Kévin Amiel.
Hélène Carpentier is only 23 years old and one of the most promising opera artists of her generation. In February 2018, she was awarded the 1st Prize and the Prize for the best interpretation of the French repertoire at the Voix Nouvelles 2018 competition organized by the Centre Français de Promotion Lyrique, an event that had previously revealed internationally renowned artists such as Natalie Dessay, Stéphane Degout and Karine Deshayes; she was also named "Révélation Classique 2018" by ADAMI.
The young soprano had already won several singing competitions in 2017, including the 1st Prize "Femme Opéra" at the 29th Concours International de Marmande and the Grand Prize at the 3rd Competition "Opéra Raymond Duffaut Jeunes Espoirs" in Avignon.
Among her projects for the 2018/2019 season are a concert tour with the winners of the "Voix Nouvelles 2018", a "Fauré" program at the Auditorium in Bordeaux, the role of Albina in a concert version of La Donna del lago (Rossini) at the Opéra de Marseille, Gabriel (Haydn's Creation) with the Orchestre national de Lorraine, as well as Micaëla (Carmen by Bizet) at the Opéra de Rouen and the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées.
Recent laureate of "Voix Nouvelles 2018" contest, Kévin Amiel is one of the most talented tenors of the new generation.
During his 2018/2019 season, he is on tour in most of the french opera houses with the laureates of the prestigious contest Voix Nouvelles 2018 and he is making his debuts as Alfredo (La Traviata) at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse ; he also performs Sir Hervey (Anna Bolena) at the Opéra national de Bordeaux, the Governor/Judge/Grand Inquisitor (Candide by Bernstein) at the Opéra de Marseille and at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Marcellus and the 2nd Gravedigger (Hamlet by Thomas) at the Opéra Comique, Siebel (Faust) at the Opéra de Marseille, Malcolm (Macbeth) at the Operas of Limoges and Reims, and Fritz (The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein) at the Théâtre de l'Odéon in Marseille.
