An outstanding interpreter of the baroque and classical repertoire, Paul Agnew joins the RSBA artists at the start of 2024!
We are honored by his confidence and look forward to supporting the development of his career as a conductor, as an extension of his role as Musical Co-Director of Les Arts Florissants.
Outside of his work with period instruments, he has already conducted many modern orchestras (Orchestre philharmonique de Liverpool, Orchestre symphonique national d’Écosse, Orchestre de chambre de Norvège, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, St Paul Chamber Orchestra (Minesotta), Staatskapelle de Dresde, Trondheim Symfoniorkester, Houston Symphony, Music of the baroque Chicago), and will shortly be conducting Rameau's Platée at the Götburg Opera and the Garsington Opera with The English Concert.
