There is no need to introduce Dominique Visse, his musical eclectism, his uncommon personnality ; his 2017/2018 season is a perfect proof : he is Nutrice (L'Incoronazione di Poppea) in Angers-Nantes Opera ; Satirino, la Natura and Furia (La Calisto) at the Bayerische Staatsoper ; as well as Delfa and Eolo (Il Giasone) at the Opéra royal de Versailles. Apart from this activity as lyrical soloist, Dominique Visse conducts Café Zimmermann and Aedes during a tour with Marc-Antoine Charpentier's pieces, he gives a recital at the Opéra national de Bordeaux, and continuing his intense activity as singer and musical director of Ensemble Clément Jannequin.
For his comeback to the Salzburger Festspiele on 12 August 2018, this time he will perform in the clothes of Arnalta, Poppea's old nourice (L’incoronazione di Poppea,) . The musical direction will be done by William Christie while the staging is the work of Jan Lauwers.
