El Prometeo in Dijon with Anna Reinhold

A Première since 1669!

Last March, Anna Reinhold sang her first Mélisande (opposite) under the direction of Jean-Claude Malgoire, who has since disappeared.

Monument to the international musical landscape, Jean-Claude Malgoire has, throughout his life, discovered many artists and helped them to evolve and progress. This was the case of Anna Reinhold to whom he gave, in addition to this role of Mélisande in 2018, Isabella in the Italiana in Algeri at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and in Tourcoing in 2016 as well as the Magnificat of Bach in Tourcoing in 2017.

The news of Anna Reinhold is about another faithful artistic collaboration of the last years: the one she has with La Cappella Mediterranea directed by Leonardo García Alarcón. With him, Anna Reinhold participated in the creation of Cavalli's Elena at the festival of Aix en Provence, then toured, to a recording dedicated to Cavalli's operas alongside Marianna Flores and many other concerts, and this season she has been Speranza and Proserpine in Monteverdi's Orfeo touring Europe and Latin America. This time she will sing Pandora in El Prometeo at the Opéra de Dijon on 14 and 15 June 2018.

El Prometeo by the Italian composer Antonio Draghi has never been represented since 22 December1669! Written on a booklet in Spanish from a piece by Calderón, it was only given twice that year, at the Imperial Court of Vienna, for the birthday parties of Marie-Anne d’Autriche, Queen of Spain.
It is not enough to say that the two Dijonaises performances of June 114 and 15 June 2018 are an event!
