End of Season with Verdi

for Roberto Rizzi Brignoli

Just like the whole season 2018-2019, the months of June and July will be full of Verdi music for Roberto Rizzi Brignoli! After Nabucco in Berlin and Dijon, then La Traviata in Hamburg, Roberto Rizzi Brignoli will soon be in Marseille for Rigoletto before joining Mannheim for Il Trovatore.

Verdi's mythical opera, Rigoletto relate the descent into hell of a father, court jester, victim of the courtiers of the Duke of Mantua. His daughter Gilda falls in love with this Duke, unbearable seducer.

After having notably directed it at the Scala of Milan, at the Festival of Avenches and Les Chorégies of Orange, it is again under the baton of Roberto Rizzi Brignoli that we could (re)discover this work at the Opera of Marseille at the end of the season, just after having directed Turandot (G. Puccini) there.

In July, he will be in Germany for Il Trovatore in a staging by Roger Vontobel at the Nationaltheater in Mannheim.

During his rich career, Roberto Rizzi Brignoli has conducted a number of operas and symphonic works at the head of the Verona Arena Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra Teatro dell'Opera from Rome, the Orchestra from the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, the Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra in Milan, the Cameristi della Scala, the Parma Toscanini Orchestra, the Berlin Deutsche Oper Orchestra, the Limburg Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra , the Amsterdam Radio Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre National de Bordeaux, the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Lyon ...
