Another rarity that this starting of musical season offers us, André Campra's Idoménée is proposed to us in a version adapted by the Opéra de Lille; the work was in fact initially programmed in a stage version, but health circumstances have pushed the theatre to postpone the performances for next season, while maintaining a more intimate stage creation, imagined around the opera, by the director Alex Ollé and the conductor Emmanuelle Haïm, at the head of Le Concert d'Astrée.
To embody the roles of Arbas and Protée, we will have the pleasure of seeing bass Frédéric Caton, a regular at the venue, whose career continues to flourish; His rich 2020/2021 season, will led him to play the roles of Don Pedro (Béatrice et Bénédict) at the Opéra national de Lyon, Eumée (Faurés Pénélope) then Bartolo (Le Nozze di Figaro) at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, Il Sagrestano (Tosca) at the Opéra national de Paris, or Nourabad (Les Pêcheurs de Perles) at the Opéra de Saint-Etienne.
