The Orchestre de Chambre de Paris proposes on saturday 20 May 2017 at 11:00am at the Philharmonie de Paris, an adaptation for parents and children (in french) of Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail.
"Turquerie" in appearance, Die Entführung aus dem Serail is here an astonishing participative project. In 1782, Mozart accompanied in music the colorful characters, their rejections and their seductions. In the original arrangement of Gilles Rico, the orientalism of opera disappeared in order to abolish boundaries between cultures. The masterpiece of Mozart is thus transposed into the present and adapted for parents and children.
Under the baton of Ariane Matiakh, the french bass Frédéric Caton will sing his first Osmin, overseer for the Pasha. He will be with Reinoud van Mechelen (Belmonte), Marlène Assayag (Constance), Judith Fa (Blonde), Loïc Félix (Pedrillo) and Sébastien Dutrieux (Pacha Sélim).
