The Opéra de Rouen Normandie is offering Carmen, Reine du Cirque, a participatory opera adapted from Bizet's famous score, which makes Carmen the star of a circus of which José, the newcomer, is the guardian, and Escamillo, the iron man.
For her first Micaëla, soprano Hélène Carpentier turns into an assistant to the knife thrower, for 4 dates at the Théâtre des Arts in Rouen, then 2 dates in May at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées.
In addition to two new dates for the tour of the winners of the 2018 Voix Nouvelles competition at the Opéra de Massy and Avignon, Hélène Carpentier will then perform in recital in the "Nouvelle Génération" series at the Seine Musicale on March 30, then during a concert tour with Insula Orchestra, for Mozart's Requiem and Grandval's Mass, in May, June and July.
