To sing the Bach's Johannes Passion on Good Friday, accompanied by the Gürzenich-Orchester Köln, its conductor François-Xavier Roth and artists such as Camilla Tilling and Topi Lehtipuu, in the monumental setting of the Köln Philharmonie, here are some favorable terms for the talent of mezzo Isabelle Druet to express itself.
A new incursion into the oratorio repertoire for those who recently sang the Saint-Saëns's Oratorio de Noël, with the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, Pergolese's Stabat Mater at the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden with the Berliner Barocksolisten, as well as Rossini's Petite Messe Solennele with Accentus and Insula orchestra.
Isabelle Druet obviously does not abandon opera stages during the 2016/2017 season: after having sung Baba the Turque for the coproduction of Stravinsky's The Rake's Progress at the theaters of Caen, Reims, Rouen, Limoges and the Grand Théâtre du Luxembourg, Melanto and Fortuna in Monteverdi's Il Ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and the Opera de Dijon, she will sing Tisbe in Rossini's La Cenerentola at the Opéra de Paris, for a dozen dates until next July.
Note also on April 21, a Parisian concert, with La Clique des Lunaisiens, in the Invalides.
