To open 17/18 season on tuesday septembre 12th, the Théâtre des Champs Elysées chooses Lucia di Lammermoor : a tribute to Maria Callas who died 40 years ago.
The famous Donizetti heroine will be here the talented Jessica Prat. Young tenor Kévin Amiel will perform as Normanno, under Roberto Abbado's baton, conducting the Orchestre National de France.
Kévin Amiel will be then back in Opéra de Rouen for the last rehearsals of Norma (Bellini) where he willbe Flavio from September 29 to october 7th. May we consider this production as a new tribute to the "Callas", who remains one of the reference singing "Casta Diva"?
Before finding back Flavio in Mascate (Oman), Kévin Amiel will explore another repertoire. He will be poet Hoffmann in December. In a new production of l'Opéra de Dijon, stage director Mikaël Serre will give a brand new vision of one of Offenbach's masterpiece.
