Gioacchino Rossini, a genius composer and multi-faceted character, marked 19th-century opera with both the richness of his work and his flamboyant personality. Endowed with an unparalleled sense of comedy and staging, he brought to a climax the Italian bel canto, while renewing the opera-bouffe with its energetic and brilliant tunes. Radio Classique invites you to live again the most beautiful emotions of opera with one of the masters of the genre with Sacred Rossini! an ideal title for an exceptional concert around this amazing and explosive composer! It will be 25 and 26 June2018 at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées under the baton of José Miguel Pérez-Sierra and the participation of tenor Kévin Amiel.
After that, Kévin Amiel will tackle another role of the Belcantist repertoire: Rodolphe in a French adaptation of La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini (and Marc-Olivier Dupin) at the Opéra Comique from 9 to 17 July 2018. The Latin Quarter, its student dormitories and its cafés, the 1830s, a youth at the dawn of the age of reason, boiling artists, their passing loves and their generous friendships, their games and their dramas: it's bohemian life and the story of Mimi and Rodolphe. Puccini's masterpiece, though composed and created in Italian, is almost a French work by its literary source - Murger's novel - and by the triumph he enjoyed at the Opéra Comique from 1898, in a translation of Paul Ferrier remained on the bill until 1971. And La Bohème is the most beautiful tribute, warm and poetic, that the Belle Epoque has made to the romantic Paris. From the Italian opera in four acts, Marc-Olivier Dupin and Pauline Bureau make a comic opera in French and give the opportunity to share, in music and images, the intimacy of characters that will touch all generations of spectators.
After Paris, Kévin Amielwill go to the Festival du Forez for a concert of Opera's arias and duets on 28 July 2018 with soprano Hélène Carpentier and pianist Jérôme Ducros. He will sing especially the air of Nemorino in the Gaetano Donizetti's Elisir d'Amore.
G. Rossini, G. Puccini and G. Donizetti, it only needed G. Verdi for Kévin Amiel to have 4G everywhere this summer! It will be done on 14 August 2018 where he will sing at the concert "VERDI, TRILOGIA POPOLARE: LA TRAVIATA, IL TROVATORE, RIGOLETTO" at the Opéra de Vichy as part of the Summer Festival.
Beautiful belcantist summer with Kévin Amiel!
