This week, Amel Brahim-Djelloul will travel to Lucerne (Switzerland). Accompanied by Anne Le Bozec and the ensemble Amedyez, she will interpret extracts of her different programs about the Orient ("Les 1001 nuits", "Souvenirs d'Al Andalûs" and "Poètes et Poétesses d'Al Andalûs") whose two of them have been recorded and released with Ame Son (2007 and 2008).
In the first part, she will be accompanied by Anne Le Bozec (piano). They will perform extracts of the "Les 1001 Nuits". With this program they offer us a trip to the discovery of the Orient such as the Karol Szymanowski (which combines both Byzantine Christianity, Greek mythology and Islamic Middle East), Louis Aubert in Arab Six Poems and Maurice Delage.
During the second part, we can listen to her alongside the ensemble Amedyez. Rachid Brahim-Djelloul (art direction, violin and vocals), Yousef Zayed, Noureddine Aliane (Oud) and Dahmane Khalfa (percussion) and Amel Brahim-Djelloul propose a program around the Orient too.
Beginning of July, she will give two concerts in Belgium on this same theme. Firstly with the "Poètes et Poétesses d'Al Andalûs" program (Ensemble Amedyez) on July 2nd at the Musiq'3 Festival; then in the new program « The Organ of the Sultan » on July 9th in Namur, with ensembles Acheron and Sultan Veled (a program to be listened to in France in Toulouse in October 2016 and at the Metz arsenal in April 2017)
Amel Brahim-Djelloul will also be at the Radio France Montpellier Festival, on July 18th, with Nicolas Jouve at the piano and Jihad Darwiche storyteller for the creation "L'Ange des Déserts, Conte amoureux du Maghreb à l'Orient" (a RSB Artists production).
Also in July, she will be at the Limousin Haut Festival for "Poètes et Poétesses d'Al Andalus" program with ensemble Amedyez (and for a second concert where she will sing Fauré's Requiem).
Amel Brahim-Djelloul will be in concert on July 5th at the Viviers Cathedral, this time with Florian Sempey and Quatuor Debussy. They will perform arias and duets by Mozart during the Festival Cordes en Ballade.
