The young soprano begins these days at the Opéra de Montréal, in the engaging role of Soeur Constance (Dialogues des Carmélites by Poulenc), for which her vivacity and ease, both scenic and vocal, are obviously wonders.
Following her lyrical training at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, after which she won her prize with unanimous great distinction, Magali Simard-Galdes joined the Atelier lyrique de l'Opéra de Montréal from 2014 to 2016.
She is also a three-time winner of the Concours musical du Canada and is in 2014 regional finalist for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
As a recipient of the 2015 edition of the Maureen-Forrester Award of the Jeunesses musicales du Canada, she is also a valuable supporter of the Vancouver Opera Guild, which awarded her the Career Development Grant Of 2016, the Jeunesses Musicales du Canada Foundation and the Jacqueline Desmarais Foundation for Canadian opera singers.
