Metz : from Opera to Arsenal

Lully, Mendelssohn and Shakespeare

Metz Opera-Théatre gives a new production about Shakespeare and Mendelssohn with ballets La Mégère apprivoisée and Le Songe d'une nuit d'été. Benjamin Pionnier will ensure the musical direction and Laurence Bolsigner-May, the choregraphies. This production offers the opportunity to listen to two young soloists  : soprano Léonie Renaud and mezzo-soprano Catherine Trottmann.

After a season at the Wiener Staatsoper highlighted by her debut as Flora (Verdi's La Traviata), Catherine Trottmann, awarded « Lyric Revelation of the ADAMI 2015 » is Tisbé in La Cenerentola during this season and then, Zaïda in Il Turco in Italia in Dijon. Otherwise, this is not the first time that we can meet her in Le Songe d'une nuit d'été composed by Mendelssohn since we have recently be able to listen to her with the Orchestre National de Lyon.
