In february 2016, in Montreal Bourgie Hall, Thomas Dolié et Olivier Godin won a huge success with their Schubert lieder recital which main work was Schwanengesang. From there, it becam obvious for them, as for the Klarthe label, to record it in the same venue and with the historical piano Erard, on last october.
Fears, hopes, pains, nostalgia, all of these fourteen lieder is so deep that it seems it connects us to the intimacy of Schubert's soul, in those ultimate days when he was probably the most vulnerable.
The recording proposes to embark the listener towards this contrasting trip in the Schubert of the last days.
To allow this beautiful project to materialize, a crowdfunding campaign is underway (and will end this weekend). We invite you to share it and it will allow you to pre-order your Schubert record now by clicking here.
