French tenor Jean-François Novelli, winner of the Concours Général, holder of a Master's degree in Musicology from the Sorbonne, First Prize in recorder, graduated of the CNSMD in Paris in singing and ADAMI young talent, turned quite naturally - from his first instrument - to early music, which he has practiced and continues to practise with great passion. This is borne out by some thirty recordings and DVDs with today's great conductors of early music. These include Silentium, a recital disc on the pruning voice that he recorded with Fabien Armengaud, and Tirannique Empire, a recital of cantatas by Jean-Baptiste Stuck with the ensemble Les Lunaisiens "première époque".

His recent operatic engagements include the roles of Remendado (Carmen) at the Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Torquemada (L'heure espagnole) on tour in Italy (Operas of Brescia, Como, Cremona and Pavia), the Héraut (Godard's Dante) at the Opéra de Saint-Etienne, and Telemaco and Pisandro (Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria), a project which has been touring the world for 10 years: Europe: Opéra Massimo in Palermo, Théâtre Royal in Versailles, Spain... Asia: Korea, Hong Kong, United States: New York...

His love of the stage led him to study clowning with Françoise Simon and Raphaël Almosni, and drama with Olivier Broche and Emeline Bayard. He has explored and exploited these skills with delight in his own projects, developed within the Compagnie de l'Autre Voix, which he founded:

Croustilleux la Fontaine, a theatrical song recital based on the licentious tales of Jean de La Fontaine, set to music by Antoine Sahler and directed by Juliette, is still touring and has already been performed over 80 times. An album of songs from the show was released in 2022.

Ma vie de ténor (my life as a tenor), based on a text by Hector Berlioz about the singer's ego, directed by Olivier Broche, performed at the Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Michel as part of the Avignon Off Festival in July 24.

He also creates ‘pocket’ works combining poetry and music: Divine bouteille, a recital based on wine, a subject that could not be more present in baroque music with lute, or la boite à Joujoux, a fantasy revisited with piano based on the tale of Hellé and Claude Debussy's work of the same name.

He has just released a recital disc of French melodies, Vous souvenez vous? a tribute to the first rediscoverers of early music at the dawn of the twentieth century and beyond, with pianist Maude Gratton

Highlights of her 2024-2025 season include l'Aumônier du Carmel (Dialogues des Carmélites) at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and Jean-Paul et Monsieur Victor (Ô Mon bel Inconnu by Reynaldo Hahn) at the Théâtre de l'Athénée.

Antoine Sahler was born in Montbéliard in 1970. After studying classical piano, he turned his attention to jazz and then French songs. He has released two albums with Harmonia Mundi / Le Chant du Monde (Je suis parti in 2002 and Nos futurs in 2005). His second album gave him the opportunity to meet Juliette, who invited him to support her at the Olympia in 2006.

As a composer, he has worked with actress Sophie Forte, with whom he released two albums of children's songs, Maman dit qu'il ne faut pas, in 2007, and J'suis vert, in 2009. He also accompanied her on stage, notably at the 2008 Francofolies festival at La Coursive. His collaboration with Sophie Forte led him to the theatre, where he wrote the music for Sur le fil. Other contributions to theatre followed: Avec deux ailes with Véronique Jeannot and, more recently, Cochons d'Inde by Sébastien Thiéry with Patrick Chesnais.

As a pianist, he has worked with artists such as Armelle Dumoulin and Françoise Le Golvan.

In recent years, he has worked regularly with François Morel, notably in the shows "Le soir, des lions...", in which he co-wrote the songs with François Morel, and "La fin du monde est pour dimanche".

He also released a children's book and record in 2013: La tête de l'emploi.

Antoine Sahler also writes songs for Lucrèce Sassella, whose album, 22 ans, was released in 2015.

After spending her teenage years in a religious institution, then trying her hand at literature and musicology, she began performing in Toulouse bars and restaurants as a pianist, singing Jacques Brel and Édith Piaf.

In 1985, and again in 1986, she took part in the Découvertes du Printemps de Bourges festival, representing young talent. She was awarded the Grand Prix de la Chanson Française in Saarbrücken.

In 1991, she won the jury and audience prizes at the Tremplin de la chanson des Hauts-de-Seine, which enabled her to produce her first album, ¿Que tal? herself.

She was nominated for a Victoire de la Musique award in 1994, and won the prize for Best Newcomer of the Year at the same awards in 1997. Following her fifth album, Assassins sans couteaux (1998), she performed at the Olympia for the first time in 1999 for six days, again for two days in 2005, then for three days in 2008.

She has eight albums to her name, two Charles-Cros awards, a Chevalier des Arts et Lettres medal and a Chevalier de l'Ordre du Mérite medal.
Between 2004 and 2007, she hosted a radio programme on France Musique, Juliette ou la Clef des sons. Every Saturday, she presented an eclectic and subjective selection of music.

She took part as an actress in Canal+'s "La Collection 2009", playing the main character in the short film Le Rescapé de l'Hippocampe by Julien Lecat.

She directed Le soir des Lions by François Morel, and most recently Lady Raymonde, Denis d'Arcangelo's latest show.

Nicolas Royez was taught piano by Roger Muraro, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, Billy Eidi and Eric Le Sage. He learned vocal accompaniment from Françoise Tillard, Christian Ivaldi and Emmanuel Olivier.

Nicolas Royez holds a Master's degree in piano and a state diploma, and is the 2015 HSBC laureate of the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence.

He is a piano teacher at the CRD in Gennevilliers, musical director of the Musique Au Bois chamber music festival in the Somme, vocal conductor for the company Les Frivolités Parisiennes and partner of singers Beate Mordal, Laurent Deleuil and Guillaume Paire.

Jean-Yves Aizic studied piano with Denyse Rivière and continued his musical studies at the CNSM in Paris, where he won first prizes in the writing, vocal accompaniment and voice conducting classes. He has worked as a conductor and pianist for opera houses such as the Grand théâtre de Tours, the Théâtre Graslin in Nantes, the Opéras de Rennes, Angers and Rouen, and the Opéra Comique in Paris.

Keen on contemporary musical creation, he takes part in productions by the 2e2m and TM+ ensembles. He is also artistic director of the Maguelone label and specialises in the restoration of operatic heritage for the Boosey & Hawkes, Durand-Salabert- Eschig and Fondazione Pergolesi-Spontini music publishing houses. He has reconstructed the original two-piano version of Maurice Yvain's "Yes! or "La Grippe Espagnole" on Sacha Guitry's text.

His latest projects have led him more towards writing, with the composition of a 'Gulliver-opera', in collaboration with François Bou and Éric Herbette, and the adaptation of 'Mésaventures Lyriques', with Lionel Peintre, based on Mozart and Cimarosa. As a member of Les Octambules, he wrote a 'Fantaisie sur la Habanera' from Carmen, along with other opera transcriptions for this eight-handed piano ensemble.
