Puis il devint invisible

3rd part of the Bach triptych with François Rougier

After a season marked by his debuts at the Opéra national de Paris in the role of Remendado (Carmen) and his performances in the Christmas Oratorio of Saint-Saëns with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Beethoven's Mass in C  with the choir of the Capitol of Toulouse and the Bach's Mass in B minor with the Baroque Ensemble of Toulouse, the French tenor François Rougier sings this season 2017/2018 the roles of Juliano (Auber's Le Domino Noir) at Liege Opera and at the Opera Comique (Paris), Abdallo (Nabucco) at the Lille Opera, a Bach / Handel program with the Bach Circle of Geneva; he also sings melodies by Poulenc, Fauré and Debussy, contrasted with soldiers' correspondences in the reading recital Voix intimates 14-18 with Alexandra Lacroix and Agnès Rouquette and participates  to the creation of Puis il devint invisible, the 3rd part of the Bach's triptych the MPDA - Alexandra Lacroix's compagny at the Théâtre Jean-Vilar  - Vitry-sur-Seine and at Mains d'Oeuvres (Saint-Ouen).

After Et le coq chanta… (And the rooster crowed ...) and D’autres le giflèrent (Then others slapped him), the MPDA - Alexandra Lacroix Compagny continues its scenic exploration of Bach's Passions. Between tradition and modernity, singers, musicians or actors are together on stage.

Puis il devint invisible (Then he became invisible) echoes the events that border the story of the Passion (anointing, washing of the feet, Eucharist, water and blood coming out of the pierced side, embalming) with the daily care that we give to our bodies by washing them, exfoliating, disinfectant, moisturizer. How did the question of paradise lost by original sin permeate our unconscious and participate in our quest for purity, longevity and furthering immortality?
