The Opéra de Paris gives a new production of Rigoletto from April 11th.
The Orchestre de l'Opéra National de Paris will be directed by Nicola Luisotti and Pier Giorgio Morandi and it is staged by Claus Guth.
The title roles will be performed by baritones Quinn Kelsey and Franco Vassallo, sopranos Olga Peretyatko and Irina Lungu will be Gilda, mezzo-soprano Isabelle Druet is Giovanna.
After a 2014/2015 season highlighted by her debut in the USA, Isabelle Druet is, this season, on stage with the Orchestre National de Lorraine in Shéhérazade (Ravel), with Accentus in Petite Messe solennelle (Rossini). She also has the opportunity to sing with pianists like Anne le Bozec and Georges Pludermacher and with the Poème Harmonique with whom she regularly works in a early music repertoire.
Next season, after a tour with Rake's Progress in Caen, Rouen, Limoges and Luxembourg, she will be back in the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées with Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria and in Opéra de Paris with Cenerentola.
