Royale Eva Zaïcik!

Phaéton at the Opéra Royal de Versailles

What a wonderful year 2018 for the French mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik!

Already elected "Révélation lyrique" of the Victoires de la Musique Classique 2018 and winner of the 3rd Prize of the Voix Nouvelles' competition the same year, she just won the 2nd Prize of the Queen Elisabeth Competition and confirms that she is the one of the most talented singers of her generation!

After giving it to the Perm's Opera (Russia) last March, she will sing from 30 May 2018 the role of Libya in Lully's Phaéton  in the beautiful setting of the Opéra Royal de Versailles.

It is a solar hitch that will bring the resurrection of this Phaeton: Vincent Dumestre (Interview) and Benjamin Lazar, with their 20 year' Lully's complicity, find the inflections that made the Court vibrate in a work so close to its protagonists. It is from the Perm's Opera, distant but with irrepressible enthusiasm, that Phaéton has taken off this winter for its fantastic ride until, in the coming days, it will find the Palace of the Sun ...

Eva Zaïcik will sing again with the Poème Harmonique the program Breve à la vita nostra on 16 June 2018 in Baume-les-Messieurs as part of the Festival de Musique Ancienne du Jura (where she will also sing for the last concert on 17 June 2018 with the Consort).

Before that, she will sing on 31 May 2018 in Bruges and on 4 June 2018 at the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Brussels for the concerts of the winners of the Queen Elisabeth Singing Competition 2018 (program). The winners will be accompanied by the Belgian National Orchestra, under the direction of Stefan Blunier. The Brussels' concert is broadcast live on radio (Klara and Musiq’3) and on television (Ketnet). It will be broadcast later on La Trois, the 8 June 2018 at 21:15.

On the other side of the Channel, Eva Zaïcik will sing on 8 June 2018 at the Barbican Center (Londres) with the Arts Florissants under the baton of Paul Agnew (concert which will also be given on 10 June  2018 in Saint Vincent sur Jard).
