After her recent engagements at the Opéra de Dijon as Amore (Orfeo ed Euridice by Gluck), alongside the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra (soprano solo of the Oratorio de Noël by Saint-Saëns) and as Soeur Constance (Dialogues des Carmélites by Poulenc) at the Opéra Grand Avignon, soprano Sara Gouzy will be back in this last house in the coming days, to sing the role of Barberine (Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro) and give an Aper'Opéra recital, before going to the Rencontres musicales en Artois for a recital with pianist Markus Zugehör.
Former student of the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin and the Guildhall School of Music in London, Sara Gouzy has already performed at the Weimar Opera House in the roles of Clotilde (Pollicino by H.W Henze) and Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare by Haendel), at the Komische Oper Berlin in John Cage's Europera 5, at the Tischlerei of the Deutsche Oper Berlin in the title role of Su-un Lee's premiere entitled Das neue Rotkäppchen, or in the role of Flaminia (Il Mondo della luna by Haydn) in Munich, with the Kammeroper München Orchester.
Winner and scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation live music now in Berlin in 2013, she won first prize in 2014 at the 7th International Melody Competition "Three Centuries of Classical Romance", in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
