Created in 1816, Il Barbiere di Siviglia is the absolute masterpiece of Italian opera buffa and the most popular score by Rossini.
This season, the Nouvel Opera de Fribourg offers a new production staged by Julien Chavaz and under the baton of Sebastino Rollimise, in which one we can hear soprano Sheva Tehoval in the role of the young, beautiful and rebel Rosina.
After a season marked by her debuts at the Opéra de Lille (First Lady in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte) or at the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg alongside the London Chamber Orchestra (roles of Witness 1 / Singer 1 and Woman 1 in George Benjamin's Lessons in Love and Violence), this year, Sheva Tehoval participates in the creation Mélisande and Pelléas based on Debussy's work and revisited by Nicholas Stücklin, given at the Fribourg Opera, then at the Théâtre de l'Athénée in Paris; she also gives numerous recitals in Basel, Berlin, Hamburg, Girona and makes her debuts at the Limoges Opera as Aurore (Massenet's Le Portrait de Manon).
