Summertime

for Hélène Carpentier and Kaëlig Boché

Like every summer, artists go on the festival road. The youngest of them follow the tradition starting with soprano Hélène Carpentier that can be heard in different recitals on July and August.

In Argenton-sur-Creuse, she gives a recital of French melodies at the Debussy Festival on 27 July.  On 28 July, she will share a program of opera arias with tenor Kévin Amiel  at the Festival du Forez in Pommiers and will be accompanied by pianist Jérôme Ducros.

On 3 August, she will sing during the concert of the Révélations Classiques de l'ADAMI 2018 as part of the Festival Pablo Casals à Prades.

Among the guests of the 30th Anniversary of Nuits Lyriques de Marmande, we could hear again Kévin Amiel and Hélène Carpentier  duo on 21 August. They will sing with the Orchestre des Symphonies d'Aquitaine, under the baton of Philippe Mestres.

 

For his part, tenor Kaëlig Boché will be at the Festival "Comme ça me chante!" in Saint-Sauveur en Puisaye, to give a program of French music with the pianist Irene Kudela and mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik, 28 July. Eva Zaïcik will also be in Menton on 31 July in the title role of Didon and Aeneas (Purcell) and Juno (Actéon de Charpentier) with Les Talens Lyriques by Christophe Rousset.

Finally, at the Rocamadour Festival on 24 August, Kaëlig Boché will perform the solo tenor part of G. Rossini's Little Solemn Mass, with the Exosphère ensemble directed by Jean-Philippe Billmann.

 

Who are they ?

Hélène Carpentier is, at 22 years old only, one of the most promising singer of her generation. She was recently awarded the 1st Prize et Best interpretation of the French repertoire Prize at the prestigious "Voix Nouvelles 2018", singing competition that had previously revealed artists like Natalie Dessay, Stéphane Degout or Karine Deshayes; she was also nominated as "Révélation Classique 2018" by the ADAMI.

Among her projects are a concert tour with laureates of the Voix Nouvelles competition ; she will also sing a program "Tribute to Gabriel Fauré" at the Auditorium of Bordeaux, will be Albina in a concert version of La Donna del lago (Rossini) at the Opera de Marseille, Gabriel (The Creation of Haydn) with the National Orchestra of Lorraine directed by Diego Fasolis, as well as Micaëla (Bizet's Carmen) at the Opéra de Rouen and at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées.

 

The Breton tenor Kaëlig Boché started to learn the vocal technique in Rennes Conservatoire with Martine Surais and then in Paris in the Advanced Department for Young Singer founded by Laurence Equilbey. He is currently studying for a MA degree at the Conservatoire National de Musique et Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) with Elène Golgevit as a teacher. 

His projects for the 2018/2019 season include the solo tenor part of Le Roi David (A. Honegger) with the Orchestre national des Pays de la Loire (conducted by Pascal Rophé), Schubert's Stabat Mater with the Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne, in concert at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord with the ADAMI laureates, Britten's Illuminations with the Orchestre regional de Normandie and his debut at the Dijon Opera in the Dancaïre role (Carmen).

He was awarded the « Revelation Classique » of the year 2017 by ADAMI and was awarded the same year, alongside pianist Jeanne Vallée, the Gabriel Fauré - Déodat de Séverac prize at the International Competition of French Melodies of Toulouse. He also won the Second Opera Prize of the International Singing Competition of Marseille in 2018.
