The 2017/2018 season is now under way; this is the occasion for us to introduce the young tenor Kaëlig Boché, whom we have the great pleasure to welcome among our artists in this early autumn. The Breton tenor Kaëlig Boché started singing when he was a child in the Rennes Cathedral Choir, lead by Jean Ruault. He started to learn the vocal technique in Rennes Conservatoire with Martine Surais and then in Paris in the Advanced Department for Young Singer founded by Laurence Equilbey. He is currently studying for a MA degree at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) with Elène Golgevit as a teacher. His training has also beein influenced by the very precious advice of Anne Le Bozec, Stephen Genz and François Leroux.
Kaëlig Boché started his career as a solo singer interpreting Azael in L’Enfant Prodigue by Debussy into the Cairn Choir at the Orsay Museum of Paris. He also sang the part of Prince Saphir in Barbe Bleue by Offenbach in Paris Conservatoire and the part of Fenton in Die Lustiger Weiber von Windsor by Nicolaï, directed by Emmanuelle Cordoliani. He played in the CNSMDP as Frère Massée in St François d’Assise by Messiaen, directed by Anne Le Bozec at the Messiaen Festival and also as Ecclicto in Il Mondo della Luna by Haydn for Les Vacances de Monsieur Haydn Festival directed by Jérôme Pernoo.
Keen on sharing and transmitting, Kaëlig has had many rich and varied experiences in singing. Since he has always been interested in choir music, he regularly works with professional choirs as Melisme(s) Choir (directed by Gildas Pungier), Sequenza 9.3 (directed by Catherine Simonpietri), Les Métaboles (directed by Leo Warynski), Akadêmia (directed by Françoise Lasserre), the Exosphere Choir (directed by Jean-Philippe Billmann).
Being so interested in Lied and French Melody repertories, Kaëlig regularly sings with the pianists Thomas Tacquet and Sébastien Joly but he has also worked with Philippe Biros, Tanguy de Williencourt and Adam Laloum. At the beginning of the year 2016, he sang with the Akadêmia Choir for Tales of the Night in India, directed by Françoise Lasserre. It gave him the opportunity to work with local singers, singing occidental music and romantic German music.
In his next tour, he will be singing as a solo tenor in Bach's Magnificat with Le Concert de l'Hostel Dieu and he will also sing the part of Uriel in La Création by Haydn in the Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral. He also has new collaborations with contemporary composers such as Isabelle Fraisse who has written pieces of music for male voices at France Musique. He is also working with Julien Le Herissier on a child opera creation and with the composer Rania Awada for the writing of movie soundtracks.
He was awarded the « Revelation Classique » of the year 2017 by ADAMI.
