The baritone  Levent Bakirci

is Marcello et Papageno at Nürnberg

After Florian Sempey at Covent Garden, another baritone will have two  productions of La Bohème and Die Zauberflöte. This time, the Turkish baritone Levent Bakirci  will be Marcello (from 29 to 31 october 2017) and Papageno (from 1 december to 23 january 2018) at Staatstheater Nürnberg.

Levent Bakirci  is scheduled to make his debuts at the Teatro Municipal Santiago as Don Giovanni this season.

He is a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater Nürnberg where he made his debut in 2016/2017 as Taddeo in  L'Italiana in Algeri, Donner in  Das Rheingold  and  Andrey Shchelkalov  in  Boris Godunov. Other roles in Nürnberg for the season 2015/2016 included Zurga in  Les pêcheurs de perles,  the title role of  Don Giovanni ,  Marcello in  La Bohème,  Il conte d'Almaviva  in  Le nozze di Figaro,  Escamillo  in  Carmen, Dr. Falke  in  Die Fledermaus.

Recently Levent Bakirci  made his debut at Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa as Captain Ahap  in Moby Dick  and with Münchner Rundfunk Orchester as Mercutio   in Romeo et Juliette   under the baton of Keri Lynn Wilson and at the Theatre du Capitole Toulouse for  the title-role of Luigi Dallapiccola's Il Prigioniero .
