The stainless counter-tenor Dominique Visse will be on display at Angers-Nantes Opéra from 9 to 17 october 2017. This french UFO singer for 50 years will once again put its talents of singer and actor to give life to the Nutrice of Ottavia, the repudiated queen, in Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea. He will also sing the First Familiar.
We no longer present Dominique Visse, his musical eclecticism, his unusual personality and his 2017/2018's season is the perfect illustration. He knows how to pass from one nurse to another in L'incoronazione di Poppea, since he will sing Nutrice in Nantes, then Arnalta at the Salzburger Festspiele; he will also sing the Satirino / La Natura / Furia (La Calisto) roles at the Bayerische Staatsoper, and give a "Midi musical" recital at the Opéra national de Bordeaux. And of course, he continues his intense activity as singer and musical director of the ensemble Clément Janequin (which he founded in 1978).
And when he is not singing, Dominique Visse is a conductor. of baroque music. After having recently directed Charpentier's David and Jonathas with the Atelier lyrique de Tourcoing, he will conduct, this season, the Café Zimmermann and Aedes ensembles with works by Marc-Antoine Charpentier for Christmas concerts tour at the Grand Théâtre de Provence, Nice, Grasse and Paris (from 16 to 22 December 2017).
