Baritone Thomas Dolié and bass Renaud Delaigue are together this week for two performances in a concert version of Claude Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande, in the splendid hall of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie in Bremen (Germany), under the baton of Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla.
These 2 dates will have a special flavor in many respects; it will be the debut of the baritone Thomas Dolié in the role of Golaud, role which he will succesfully embody without a doubt, as the musician, his diction and his voice call him to these magnificent roles of the French repertoire; in June, he will by the way perform the role of Ramiro (Ravel's L'Heure espagnole) for his debut at the Opéra national de Paris, another highlight of his 2017/2018 season.
Theses two performances will be for bass Renaud Delaigue accompanied by a warm thought towards the french conductor Jean-Claude Malgoire, under the baton of whom he sang this same role of Arkel in Pelléas and Mélisande at the Théâtre Raymond Devos in Tourcoing, on the occasion of the last concerts of the maestro with whom he had sung so many times for many years.
