Thomas Dolié in the air

many roles debuts  in Europe!

Thomas Dolié is a baritone who would not hold up? If we look carefully at the schedule of his current season, it would be really difficult to say the opposite!

After taking him to Quimper, Nantes, Angers, Besançon and Compiègne, his role of Argante in Haendel's Rinaldo with the Co[Opéra]tive and, in particular, Emmanuelle de Negri, will take him to Dunkerque, Charelroi, Macon and La Rochelle.

In Forumopera.com, Laurent Bury wrote: "In Thomas Dolié, we salute not only the expressiveness, but also the power of the treble and the ease with which he descends in the grave: we rejoice  at the prospect of hearing him incarnate Huascar des Indes galantes "..

And it is precisely in the middle of this national tour of Rinaldo that Thomas Dolié will fly to Budapest for Rameau's les Indes Galantes, where he will sing, also for the first time, the roles of Bellona, Huascar and Alvar under the baton of György Vashegyi.

Time to put Argante's clothes back for a other performances, and here he is again on tour, this time with the gravity of the role of Jesus in Bach's St. Matthew Passion , first in Spain and then in Germany with les Musiciciens du Louvre conducted by Marc Minkowski.

Gravity, Thomas Dolié will keep it for another role debuts awaited this season: Golaud in Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande, for two concerts in Bremen with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie under the direction of Mirga Grazinytė-Tyla.

After Golaud, he will put his suitcases in Paris where he will make his debut at the Opéra Bastille. He will sing the role of Ramiro in  Ravel's l'Heure Espagnole from 8 to 17  June 2018, in the staging of Laurent Pelly. This production will be coupled with Gianni Schicchi where we will find two other artists from the agency: Emmanuelle de Negri (Nella) and Isabelle Druet (La Ciesa).

He will finish his season in Bordeaux and Monte-Carlo: he will sing Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen with the Orchestre national de Bordeaux Aquitaine and the solo baritone part of Bernstein's Jubilee Game with the Orchestre philharmonique de Monte-Carlo.

In addition, it should be noted that a crowdfunding campaign is underway for the new CD to be released by Thomas Dolié and Olivier Godin, Schubert's Schwanengesang. If you wish to support this project, please visit the ProArti's website: https://www.proarti.fr/collect/project/le-chant-du-cygne.

During all these long months of tour, one thing is certain: only his shadow will manage to follow him!
