She is Marzia in Catone in Utica

Surrounded by Cesar's army, Utica's senator Catone, strongly attached to republican values, refuses to submit to the recently nominated dictator. However Marzia, Catone's daughter falls in love with Cesar and tries to urge them to stay in peace. 


In this Opera Lafayette 's new production, mezzo soprano Anna Reinhold (see photo), is Marzia, a symbol of love and peace. Catone in Utica (by Antonio Vivaldi) will be performed, under Ryan Brown's baton, in Kennedy  Center Terrace Theater, in Washington, on November 28th and 29th, and then in New York City.
