Florian Sempey makes his debut in Berlin

He is Alphonse XI in La Favorite

This week, baritone Florian Sempey makes his debuts at the Berlin Deutsche Oper as the King of Castille, Alphonse XI, in Donizetti's opera  La Favorite. With Elina Garanca and Joseph Calleja, he presents a concert version of this work, in french language.

After a season marked by his appearances unanimously greeted in the title role of the Barbiere di Siviglia in Opera de Paris and in Festival Rossini in Pesaro, Florian Sempey finds in 2015-2016 the same role, in the Rome's Opera. He also finds Marc Minkowski and the role of the Count, for a resumption in the Royal Opera of Versailles of the production of the Nozze di Figaro, created this summer in Drottningholms Slottsteater, in Sweden. He has been Momus, in Platée, in the Opera de Paris and will be Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor, at the Opéra Grand Avignon. In concert we hear him accompanied by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France for La Jacquerie by Lalo, the Orchestre National de France for the Messa di Gloria (by Puccini) and the National orchestra of Bordeaux, for the Christmas Concert of Radio classique.
