Zorba the Greek

Dominique Trottein comes back to the Metz-Métropole Opéra-Théâtre

The ballet Zorba the Greek from M. Theodorakis, based on the novel by Nikos Kazantzakis, will be played three times at the Metz Métropole Opéra-Théâtre. The choreography is ensured by Patrick Salliot and the musical direction by Dominique Trottein who had already conducted this artwork in this same place during the 2006-2007 season. On stage, we find the Orchestre Ephémère, the Opera Theatre of Metz Métropole Choir and Ballet as well as the mezzo-soprano Athina Kastrinaki.

This season, conductor Dominique Trottein is back on stages he knows very well. He was in Vichy (Belle Hélène), Marseille (La Vie Parisienne), Tours (La Cenerentola), Avignon(La Vie Parisienne). We may hear him in this last place in April 2017. From october, he will be resident conductor at the Theatre de Mogador and will conduct the worldwide success Le Fantôme de l'Opéra, adapted from the novel by Gaston Leroux, for around one hundred performances in 2016/2017.
